Surfside Wellness Centre adopts the STOTT Pilates Method

Surfside Wellness Centre has always been known for very strong group exercise classes and group training systems. Recently, Surfside partnered with STOTT to host a Pilates training at its Wildey facility in order to standardise the Pilates instruction to its members.

The decision to focus on the STOTT method was based on STOTTメs close attention to biomechanical correctness, safety for class participants and a heavy emphasis on correcting postural deviations that commonly lead to pain or injury. The Pilates Method was originally designed as a rehabilitation program, but was later found to be of great benefit to the general population. Much like most effective exercise methods, it is based upon an anatomical understanding of human anatomy and biomechanics.
